What MossImage is
MossImage is a hosted interface for MOSS-Image, an open-source image generation model released by the OpenMOSS team. The model is built for layout-aware image generation: posters, menus, signage, and editorial pages where text and composition have to hold together.
Running a diffusion model of this size locally needs a GPU, a working Python environment, and a fair amount of patience. MossImage packages that setup into a browser interface: you write a prompt or a JSON layout, choose an output size, and the generation runs on hosted infrastructure. You pay for it with a monthly subscription that includes a credit allowance.
What the service actually does
- Natural-language prompts — describe the poster, menu, or layout you want in plain English or Chinese.
- JSON layout mode — specify text blocks and bounding boxes directly when you need precise placement.
- Bilingual text rendering — Latin and Chinese text in the same composition, which is the main reason MOSS-Image exists.
- Hosted generation history — every run is recorded against your account, with the credits it cost.
- Published credit costs — the sizes we have measured show their cost before you submit. Sizes we have not measured say so instead of guessing.
Relationship to the MOSS-Image project
MossImage is an independent service. It is not operated, endorsed, or sponsored by OpenMOSS. The model weights, the paper, and the reference implementation belong to their authors, and we link to the official sources rather than re-hosting them:
- MOSS-Image project page
- MOSS-Image on GitHub
- MOSS-Image Base on Hugging Face
- MOSS-Image SFT on Hugging Face
If you want to run the model yourself, the official repository is the right place to start. MossImage exists for people who would rather not maintain a GPU box to produce a batch of posters.
How pricing works
MossImage is sold as a monthly subscription with three plans. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance, and each generation spends credits according to the output size. Plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account settings — see pricing for the current plans and the refund policy for billing terms.
